The latest construction timelapse DVD from June 2011 – April 2012 is now ready.

- Life core has been dismantled to enable level 8 transfer slab to be connected

26 March 2012 - Construction update

Construction is on track at Fifty Albert, and is expected to be completed mid-2013.

- The slab and supporting columns are complete to level 3
- Liftcore and stairwell complete to level 6
- Substation construction is 90% complete
- Lighting installation to basement has commenced

Over the next month Hickory will complete the carpark levels structure, commence the residential levels and progress with electrical, plumbing and essential services installation.

6 March 2012 - Fifty Albert artists have been appointed


Three artists have been appointed to create artwork for Fifty Albert’s entrance and lobby.

MARS Gallery Director, Andy Dinan, assisted Hamton in selecting the contemporary artists:
- Emma Davies: The Cherry Blossom Chandeliers
- Jeremy Kibel: Bird drawings wall in slate
- James Hullick: The Hypno Electro Kensho: A Sound Seat

5 March 2012 - Construction timelapse DVD is now available!

You can now view our first Fifty Albert construction timelapse dvd from June 2011 – December 2011.
Click here to see the progress of the first six months of construction.

Construction is on track at Fifty Albert, and is expected to be completed mid 2013.

- Slab and supporting columns complete to level 3
- Lift core and stairwell complete to Level 6
- Substation construction 90% complete
- Main switchboard is now on site
- Basement emergency lighting installation complete
- Plumbing rough in to basement and ground level has commenced
- Lighting installation to basement has commenced
- Conduits and cable tray installation has commenced

Over the course of the next three months the following will take place:

- Lift core to continue upwards, however it will be re-configured at L8 (due to change of floor layout).
  In 3 months time the lift core should be at level 9.
- Structure to continue through carpark levels and reach first apartment floor at level 8.

·         Demolition is complete

·         All debris has been removed from the site

·         Underground main power supply is going in now

·         All sewer connections completed

·         Retention piles are nearly complete

·         Concrete capping beams commenced

·         Basement excavation commenced.

6 Sep 2010 - Fifty Albert Public Launch

The Fifty Albert display suite opened for the first time to the general public on Saturday 4 September. The weekend was a great success with over fifty groups through both Saturday and Sunday and many deals done. Visitors enjoyed watching the Fifty Albert DVD in the cinema room with their free coffee before being taken on a tour of the display. The display suite is now open daily 12-4pm and twilight Thursday 5-8pm. 50 Albert Rd, South Melbourne.

 

2 Sep 2010 - VIP Launch Night

Fifty Albert was officially launched last night with a VIP function held in the new onsite display suite.
